Parental Responsibility
A legal parent/guardian has the authority, rights, duties and power to make decisions for their child, such as if the child receives medical treatment.
A parental responsibility agreement is particulary useful:
- for unmarried fathers where the child was born before 1st December 2003
- in cases when a unmarried father of a child born after 1st December 2003 and he is not on the birth certificate for some reason
- where a couple marry and the other party already have a child
- in civil partnerships where either party already has a child or gives birth after the couple became a civil partnership
With our fixed fee services you pay one price and no added extras. (Please note our fees do not include court costs. For court fees click here). You will be allacated your personal, expert legal advisor and given a direct email and telephone line to them.
Why have fixed fees?
By paying a fixed fee at the start of your case you have certainty about the costs involved. The alternative is to pay an hourly rate (currently £120 plus VAT per hour) for the time your lawyer spends on your case. We believe you should pay for the work that needs to be done, rather than the time it takes to do it.
